Originally designed and fabricated for Milan Design Week 2017 by The Mediated Matter Group, including Lios co-founders Chikara Inamura, Michael Stern, and Daniel Lizardo. A single 3m tall structural glass column, along with its dynamic lighting system was commissioned by Mori Building for its visitor atelier and presentation room. Lios worked with Mediated Matter to re-engineer the piece for permanent installation and install onsite. At one hour per cycle, the light moves far slower than anything experienced in Milan, and serves to create the most subtle atmosphere possible in a space dedicated to careful thought.
